I have watched virtually all home made jaw crusher videos on Youtube but hadnt seen this one yet The one my neighbours once rented had a foot wide opening, and the back plate was just a hot rolled C channel. Then cast manganese jaw plates bolted to that. With smaller crushers the stress is rapidly decreasing with size, it seems.

We used a small crusher to process about 300 tons of 4" thick concrete with no rebar. I was pretty impressed with it''s capability for such a small portable machine. It took about 4 days to crush the material. We did the same as you by reducing the material into manageable chunks before processing.

The primary difference between the regular close ratio Muncie (M-21) and the HD Muncie was the angle at which the gear teeth were cut. The M-22 gear teeth are cut at a noticeably

It also allows me to change the size if needed. I look at this new tech as a better way to make the small parts that will enhance our models instead of wishing and hopping that some one will produce one for the market. I wasn''t sure if I should post this here since much of the forum is into structure kit building and scratch building structures.
A check of "Homemade Rock Crushers" on youtube will give you plenty of ideas. Crushing rock is NOT a new idea. 911 mining has small kits you can buy, and will ship anywhere in the world...for a price (they are out of Canada). They have a small one, I think around 4 inches for $600, but have bigger sizes too. As for operating a rock crusher, I have.
Purchased a small hand rock crusher. Going to crush samples as I find them when detecting and prospecting. I don''t know a whole lot about hardrock and pocket gold. So any tips or suggested reading is helpful. Thanks.
I finally just let it go (and yes I still have the emails), when this little rock crusher (12"H x 6"D x 4"W, with a 8" pulley at 22#''s) showed up. It was the last of a few, small ones being made for prospectors of precious metals, wanting small samples to be crushed for testing.

My friend made one for me.Worked very well, but somewhat slow. The model shown could use some modifications.Mine used a number 60 chain and the last link eventually wore off, which is no big deal.A zig-zag shoot on top would be much better for dust control and rock throwback.Having a screw type device on the bottom to push out all the fines into a bluebowl or sluice would work wonders. Will try

CKelly78z said: My wife works for a busy homebuilder in NW Ohio, and does most of the sitework, and engineering. She says $1.20 a sq ft, so a 12'' wide driveway would be $14.40 a linear foot, or roughly $4400 for 300''. Now this might not include the larger base stone.
My Homemade / DIY Drill Mount Rock Crusher for small batch sampling.Just a regular grinder and all-thread rod mounted to a drill. Work real good.
Actually, CH4D sells a press they call the Rock Crusher and i know one reloader who uses one. Also Lyman sells a line of presses called the Crusher series. RCBS stands for the Rock Chucker Bullet Swage that references the first thing they sold, a swage set to convert .22 lr casings into cheap varmint bullets that were often used on...
Hi Peter, I was looking to buy a rock crusher for some time and found them expensive for what I needed and not many used ones showing up in classifieds. Ultimately settled for a small $100 hand crusher to sample some rocks I find on adventures to see if there is any gold. Hope you have better luck than I did.

This rock crusher is more appropriately a secondary plant, whereas it screens gravel and completes the process of crushing everything up that has first passed through a primary plant. I have to find some better plans of the primary plants, because now that I have a secondary, I want a primary! I spent my evening painting the print and then
The crusher is very heavy duty and will crush any rock or masonry easily Haven''t done as much work with it as I''d like as my other business interests have been too busy. But I hope to give it a good shake this winter. I have a portable 240v conveyor to work with the crusher on bigger jobs.

Here''s the situation: I''ve got plenty of good-sized rocks and a bunch of big rocks. I''ve also got numerous washouts and muddy spots in the driveway

The amount of offset on the shaft determines the crushing force. More offset = less force, but faster crushing, and vis-versa. I started with 1/8" offset, and it didn''t work. Then changed the toggle, still didn''t work. Then, I wrongly thought it was the offset, and went to a new shaft with 1/4" offset. Still didn''t work.
